Student Testimonials
Recent graduates talk about their time at Mount Bachelor Academy:
"During my stay at MBA, I am most proud of rebuilding relationships with my family, learning the true definition of integrity, and living each day with honesty, courage, and humility. The times that I have enjoyed most have been helping to facilitate intervention, fly fishing Oregon's beautiful rivers, and making true friendships. I have also enjoyed river rafting, skiing, and rock climbing while I have attended MBA. Returning home, I plan to find a job based upon boating and fishing and I am planning on studying marine mechanics at Florida Gulf Coast University.
I am confident that I now have the tools to find success in my life, and for this I am eternally grateful. I leave MBA feeling great about the accomplishments that I have made, and this is now where the real challenge begins."
Jordan
"During my stay at MBA I have accomplished many goals. When I first walked through the doors I was a very scared, confused girl who did not want to take a stand for anything. I am most proud of myself for sticking through things even though I did not always want to do them at times. This is how I became a stronger person. Also, I am so proud of the relationships that I have rebuilt with my family. Today I stand proud to be the person I have become: strong, loving, real and ALIVE. After MBA, I will be finishing up my senior year and then heading to college to live my dream of becoming a social worker."
Ashley
"Today I would describe myself as strong, a leader and giving. All these qualities I have gained from my stay here at MBA. While I have been here I have accomplished many things. The one I am most proud of is rebuilding my relationships with my family; how strong they are today. Another would be making unbelievable friendships that I can always trust and never question. All this and more have made me who I am today. After graduation I will be spending a week with my family and then will be returning to the MBA graduate residence until June to finish up some credits... I plan on attending an art college and eventually opening my own tattoo shop and photo gallery."
Sage
"Well this past year and three months has been a wild one, full of new knowledge and wisdom that I will carry with me always. Being at MBA I have experienced a lot of things that I never thought I would and I am appreciative of the support I have received from this community. I hope to move on to film school to sharpen my skills and eventually make a living doing what I love."
Collin
"During my journey at MBA, I am most proud of maturing into a self-loving, graceful, hopeful, powerful young lady; being drug free and reconnecting with my beautiful family. My best times were making strong friendships that will stay with me forever, river classroom, sitting on the top of Smith Rock and watching the sun rise, and Camp Classroom.
Following my graduation I will be returning home to Southern California for a couple of months, spending time with my family and the beach before I move to Portland, Oregon with the plan of attending The Art Institute. My major will most likely be fashion design... I leave here to embrace the world with confidence and passion for my accomplishments."
Emily
"During my stay at MBA, I have overcome many struggles that I once thought were impossible. MBA has helped me grow into a confident young man. I am now a self-loving, confident and courageous person. I have found many life changing passions such as running, working out, and playing the guitar. I also have made amazing relationships with friends and definitely with my mother and family. The Lifestep that helped me out the most was The Promise; helping me realize my strengths and to be fearless.
After graduation, I will stay at the graduate residence to finish up my senior year... After graduating from high school I plan to stay home for a year and attend community college; taking courses in marine biology, literature, and maybe pop music history. But mainly I am very passionate about becoming a marine biologist. I will always be thankful and proud of all the accomplishments that I have achieved at MBA."
Patrick
"The three things that I am most proud of completing are Intervention and the La Mancha and Venture Lifesteps. I will be completing high school and attending a six week summer program at The Academy of Art in San Francisco, where I plan to attend college".

"During my stay here at MBA, I have worked on developing strong and healthy relationships with my family and friends. I can proudly say that we are closer than we have ever been before. My most impactful times have been helping with the Forever Young and Promise Lifesteps. I have made great friends here and we have shared some times I will never forget. After graduation I will be returning to the graduate residence to finish my senior year of high school. After receiving my diploma I will be attending college to study foreign languages."

"My journey at MBA has been a roller coaster of highs and lows. I am most proud of rebuilding my relationships with my family, believing in myself and growing into the strong, powerful, and compassionate man that I am today. My best times were helping to facilitate Intervention, going on Shakespeare and Mountain Classroom, playing soccer and basketball and hanging with my friends. When I return home I will be getting an apartment with one of my buddies and will be attending college in August. I will be majoring in sports medicine and become a personal trainer. This is my time to shine and show the world who I am."
Zachary

"During my stay at MBA, I feel most proud about becoming a healthy person; gaining back lost family relationships and changing for the better in my life. My favorite times at MBA would have to be Mountain Classroom, River Classroom, facilitating Intervention, laughing with my friends, and all the other great times with everyone."
After graduation, I will be going home then I will travel to Argentina for six weeks to record music, help out, and experience a different culture. After returning home I will finish my senior year and then attend Kansas University and study abroad."
Alex
"As I leave MBA I look back and realize how much I have done since my arrival. After graduation I will spend six weeks in Israel with my family and then I will embark on a solo-backpacking trip throughout the western coast of Europe. I will return in September to attend college to study graphic design. I will leave MBA with a clear mind and a set plan of what I want out of life.
