Drug and Alcohol Education

Mount Bachelor Academy offers an evidence based, comprehensive drug and alcohol curriculum:

• Students have access to full-time drug and alcohol counselors on campus.
  
• A comprehensive evaluation determines each student’s level of abuse or dependence.  Each student will receive an individualized plan.
  
• NA/AA style meetings are held each week. Quarterly open NA/AA meetings are held for parents and students to participate in together.
  
• Drug/alcohol processing groups occur twice weekly.
  
• Each peer group participates in full-day workshops specifically targeting drug/alcohol issues.
  
• Students complete NA/AA workbooks that have been specifically designed for adolescents.
  
• Students may participate in a semester-long academic class called Addictions and Recovery.
  
• Counseling staff members are trained in Motivational Interviewing skills
  
• 7 Challenges® approach to recovery is also offered.
