Drug and Alcohol Education
Mount Bachelor Academy offers an evidence based, comprehensive drug and alcohol curriculum:
- Students have access to full-time drug and alcohol counselors on campus.
- A comprehensive evaluation determines each student’s level of abuse or dependence. Each student will receive an individualized plan.
- NA/AA style meetings are held each week. Quarterly open NA/AA meetings are held for parents and students to participate in together.
- Drug/alcohol processing groups occur twice weekly.
- Each peer group participates in full-day workshops specifically targeting drug/alcohol issues.
- Students complete NA/AA workbooks that have been specifically designed for adolescents.
- Students may participate in a semester-long academic class called Addictions and Recovery.
- Counseling staff members are trained in Motivational Interviewing skills
- 7 Challenges® approach to recovery is also offered.
