Academic Seminars

• Academic Seminar I — How We Learn: facilitates student understanding of their personal learning style.
• Academic Seminar II — Health and Fitness: explores current and pertinent topics related to their personal well being.
• Academic Seminar III — Higher Education and Vocational Planning: introduces students to vocational and educational options.
• Academic Seminar IV — Lifelong Learning: assists students with refinement of their personal belief system integral to a commitment to ongoing personal growth.

Learning Styles

Students discover and identify their learning strengths and challenges through:

• Participation in one on one meetings with the director of special education regarding their personal learning style, strengths, and areas of interest
• Each student receives an Individualized Learning Plan
• Full time access to two certified Learning Needs Specialists

Building Strategies

MBA's small classes and individualized approach allow for a variety of strategies to maximize students' strengths and insure their higher learning potential.

Higher Education

Students receive information and assistance in:

• SAT Preparation workshop
• Assistance with college essay writing
• Assistance with college and boarding school application process

Career Counseling

Mount Bachelor Academy is pleased to offer career testing and planning available to all students and their families, through our guidance counseling office.

Vocational Planning

Mount Bachelor Academy has a full career center where students participate in aptitude testing assessing skill sets and areas of interest. They are exposed to a variety of career options and then helped to match their areas of skill and interest to particular career and higher education paths. This also helps students recognize their personal passions.
